Marymount Manhattan College's Summer Session Student Residence is in New York City, a short distance from the college. Think of it as a built-in community, where there's a good chance your neighbor is your classmate or a new friend. At the same time, you're living in the heart of the cultural and commercial mecca that is Manhattan, and you're in a prime location to take advantage of all that city life has to offer.
Applying for Residence - Summer Housing in NYC
To apply for residency, please complete the application and return it with a non-refundable application deposit of $500.00 to:
Marymount Manhattan College
Office of Residence Life
221 East 71st Street

The application cannot be processed without the deposit. Once an assignment has been made, the $500 deposit is applied towards housing fees. All housing applications and deposits are due by April 28. Housing is assigned on a first-come basis and is not guaranteed.
In late April, the application will be processed. At that time, students will receive more detailed information about housing. Room assignments will be sent in May for Summer Session I and June for Summer Session II once the student's tuition and fees have been paid in full. Upon arrival, students will pay the outstanding housing balance directly to residence hall personnel. By submitting a deposit, students are agreeing to reside in the residence halls for the summer session(s) under the terms and conditions set out in the Marymount Manhattan College Residence Contract (see below). Placement in housing will only be granted to registered students. However, the terms of the housing contract remain in effect should a student's status be changed during the course of the session. Students are not released from their financial obligation to the residence halls for any reason unless they withdraw from the college. Depending upon the date of the withdrawal, students may be responsible for some or all of their residential financial obligation. Students who are removed from either the residence hall or college for judicial reasons will be responsible for the entire summer session charges. Housing preferences are granted in accordance with deposit date and upon full payment. Failure to meet a student's preference does not release the student from this contract. Acceptance of the application does not guarantee housing. Students must adhere to the timeline printed on this application.
Acceptance of Marymount Manhattan College housing signifies an agreement to abide by all rules and regulations as put forth in the Marymount Manhattan College Residence Life Contract and Student Life Handbook. |
